And the tooth fairy will have to come visit us again tonight! We sure keep her busy lately!

We had a simple celebration around a bonfire tonight with some dear friends, songs, warm apple cider, delicious sun cookies, a story and a traditional burning wishes ritual. It was just perfect!
Nous avons fait une célébration toute simple autour d'un feu de camp ce soir avec de bons amis, de chants, du cidre de pommes chaud, de délicieux biscuits de soleil, une histoire et le rituel traditionnel de brûler un souhait. C'était juste bien!
And we went to Montreal to surprise my dad for his 60th birthday this weekend! I think it worked!
Et nous sommes allées à Montréal pour surprendre mon père pour son 60e anniversaire ce weekend! Je pense que ça a fonctionné!
Food, more food! It was SOOO good! There was some homemade brioche, more buckwheat pancakes with an apple and caramel coulis, homemade maple syrup baked beans, liver mousse with caramelized onion jam and a maple cake to die for... And it's not even Christmas yet!
De la nourriture, encore de la nourriture. Il y avait des brioches maison, encore des galettes de sarrasin avec un coulis de pommes au caramel, des fèves au lard au sirop d'érable, de la mousse de foie de volaille avec une confiture d'oignons caramélisés et un gâteau à l'érable succulent... Et ce n'est même pas Noël encore!
How I love that look of compassion in my father's eyes. It really feels like home. And the spark in Hélène's face, the lightness, the life... It really is them.
J'aime ce regard empreint de compassion de mon père. Je me sens chez moi. Et l'étincelle dans le visage d'Hélène, la légereté, la vie. Une image qui vaut mille mots!

The spread of food looks wonderful and how lovely that you could surprise your father.My parents surprised me this thanksgiving and it is a memory that I shall treasure always.

Thank you Natasha and mamaayanna for your comments! My grandma knit the scarf/hats and mittens. I just printed a photo of something I saw on etsy and she made them! She used the Drops Alaska wool to make them. They are great!
