Our hearts beat for the western mtns of Canada and the US and these posts are like a tug in that direction. Rossland sounds wonderful. Do you think house prices/land prices are less than the Gaspe? The fact that there is no major airport is what makes it more affordable I suspect. The gaspe is like that - gorgeous, affordable, but isolated.

Do all these checks mean you are looking for a new permanent home to move to once you're done you're travelling? Their size and the fact they have no predators really makes them come accross as kings!Catherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17513911177615259519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8589290063273869746.post-81719252474409729482012-09-18T16:35:54.176-04:002012-09-18T16:35:54.176-04:00I'm ok with sighting wild boars and the occasi...I'm ok with sighting wild boars and the occasional fox in my garden (not totally ok, actually, as wild boars are huge problems here, and if I could I think I'd instantly incinerate all wild boars that come close to my garden) - but I'm trying to think how brave I'd feel if I saw, or came close to, a BEAR! Funny how the perception of wild life can be so ... well, "local"!Francescahttp://www.fuoriborgo.comnoreply@blogger.com
