A few knits and a few firsts

The Scarfhat knitted by Mémé. Great but quite heavy...

Le foulard-chapeau tricoté par Mémé. Joli, mais plutôt lourd...

Assorted mitts

Mitaines assorties

The Oh-so-popular-in-the-blogosphere February lady sweater, again by Mémé.

And a simple spring hat (without pattern) for me, by me.

Fingeknitting

Tricot à doigts

Showing little sis how to fingerknit while mama is preparing to make another exciting hat (who doesn't need one more hat anyways?).

Look mama, I did so much fingerknitting (5 minutes) that I can knit with the needles now... (that's the deal here : once you get VERY good at fingerknitting, you can try knitting with needles...).

Our first bike ride of the year!

Notre première promenade à vélo de l'année!

And our first pic nic!

Et notre premier pique-nique!

And a very tired little fairy rest on the lambskins from our lambs and ewes we just received.

Is it spring yet where you live?

Ooooh I love all those knitted things! Those hats are so groovy. Your daughter on the sheepskin looks extremely happy and satisfied after your picnic - what a beautiful shot! xx

Comment vas-tu?

Meme is a very talented knitter. We had a picnic the other day...before all the rains came back. The Crocuses and Daffodils are popping up. My Trinity cant resist picking them.

Hooray for Spring! All the knits look wonderful...what do you think of the February Lady Sweater...it looks different each time I see it in Blogland. Have you harvested any wool to be spun from your lambs?

I like my chickens, think sheep/lambs are my favorite homesteading partners...the wholesome food and wool gifts they give are both so welcome. (I love that your children nestle into lambskins that you "grew" yourselves).

For those of you who didn't know, Mémé is my Grandma (she lives with us) and yes, she is an amazing knitter!

Forest dweller, I can't wait for the crocuses and daffodil to show up!

Cypress, I quite like the February lady sweater. I love the shape of it and the length of the body and sleeves. It makes a very practical sweater for a mom! And no, I did not harvest any wool from my sheep yet. I do not spin (yet!). We will shear them soon (or maybe we will sell them before... more to come about this!). Yes, sheep are the most amazing animals!
