I just discovered your blog through Uncommon Grace's blog. I am so glad I discovered it. I will be back to visit often.
This post really touched my heart. We have done similiar ceremonies for one of our rabbits and two pet mice. I think it is so important to include the children in these ceremonies, to help them say good-bye, to teach them about life and death and to prepare them for later in life. And it always made me feel better too. Very healing for the whole family.
:-)
Thank you for sharing your simple ceremony.
Blessings.
Colleen
Hi Colleen!
Yes, I think that celebrating life and death are very important for children and the way we bring that to consciousness for them can be very reassuring and healing.
I am glad I discovered your blog too. I will visit you too!
