Summer in April

My little Yukonners honored their homeland by swimming in Massawippi Lake on April 3rd, exactly 3 weeks after we watched the firefighters train by jumping on the ice!

We planted some tomato (cherries, Ultra girls, San Marzano, Latha), yellow watermelon and ground cherry seedlings.

It's quite funny to check last year's picture of that same activity at the same date! It was a tiny bit colder!

We started covering the garden alleys so they do not become full of weeds. We kept all the animal feed bags from this winter that we lay on the ground and cover with old straw.

Meanwhile, my little amazons were taking a mud bath with the goose and ducks!

And a little wet felted chick project (I'll explain more in the next post).

  3. Yes, they were shivering, but it didn't last long. Aïsha was actually crying because her legs hurt from the cold (cramps I guess...). Gotta love swimming!
