Weaving in a blizzard... and some more recipes...

Outside/Dehors :

Inside/À l'intérieur :

The weaving looms became harp for a play...

Les métiers à tisser se sont transformés en harpes l'histoire d'un spectacle...

My friend Sarah has a great tutorial on her blog.

Mon amie Sarah a un excellent tutoriel sur son blog.

The girls absolutely loved it. They came back to it many times today.

Les filles ont vraiment adoré ce projet. Elles y sont revenues plusieurs fois aujourd'hui.

Our favorite hemp crackers

3 cups rolled oats
2 cups spelt
2 t salt
1 cup water
1 cup hemp hearts
1 T cane sugar (I omitted it this time)
2/3 cup organic canola oil
Caraway or sesame seeds to sprinkle on

1. Mix dry ingredients.
2. Emulsify water and oil
3. Knead and then divide the dough in half
4. Roll out on 2 cookie sheets with paper
5. Sprinkle with salt and with sesame seeds
6. Roll lightly again - mark squares
7. Place one sheet at a time in preheated oven 400 F and bake for 25 minutes.
After 25 minutes turn off but leave crackers in the oven for another 5-10
minute.
8. Watch carefully because they burn easily
