Believe it or not, at 7 1/2, Aïsha just got her first haircut by a hairdresser! I decided to bring each girl separately and to make it a special outing with mama! We had fun!

Cute Cat, my boys refuse to go to a hairdresser, I wouldn't attempt the ones in DR either - who knows what we might turn out to be. Love the homeschooling work, some reminds me of sasha's grade 1. I use California baby screen and insect spray (i love the insect spray) it smells good most are overwhelming. They are pricey though. I must attempt my own some day. I enjoy making creams, lotions, balms, liniments, tinctures but I haven't tried sunscreen. You must be getting excited your trip is coming soon,, hope it doesn't rain too much, it's rainy season now in DR.
This is so sweet, to have a mama-haircut date! She looks so cute with her new haircut- and you too! I love that pic of her roaring- and I love the looks of the salon too- much funkier than the ones here!

what a lovely hairdresser! my boy had his first professional haircut last month, at 14 (boy's hair is easier to cut than girls), and I have to say that I was looking forward to it, because for the last several times I feld I'd done a horrible job (bigger boy=bigger head=more hair!)
