After more than 5 years of writing as Catherine et les fées, I have decided to create a Web site that reprensents more what I am today. I have changed a lot in 5 years and so are my photographs and life choices. It seemed appropriate to move to a new site as we embark in our open-ended road trip.
If you want to keep following our adventures, visit www.roaditup.com
There is a blog tab where I will post regularly as I used to do here. There are also other tabs to learn more about us. I invite you to read them!
Catherine et les fées will remain up and running for now.
I hope to see you all at www.roaditup.com!
If you want to receive the new posts in your Newsfeed, you can follow us on Facebook or enter your e-mail address at the bottom of the posts to receive the notifications by e-mail.
Catherine et les fées déménage!! Continuez à suivre nos aventures sur le site : www.roaditup.com
Early mornings, smoothies, salads, empty beaches, strawberry shortcakes, late nights. In that order. June.
All the good stuff in the middle of the day was hemmed by frustration, disapointment and madness.
Some days, I'm thankful for emotions.
The day has come: we closed the sale on the house and moved into our bus! We are exhausted, but very excited for the adventure to come. We still have a full week of garage appointment for the bus and the Westy, but are hoping to be on the road very soon. Here are some more pictures of the bus (the first two are by my friend Marianne).
And since we are taking our life on the road, it felt appropriate to move into a brand new blogging space. I will keep you posted on this upcoming move!
Our bedroom is at the back of the bus and the girls sleep up front on the couches (one slides down and they have plenty of room). I love the little office space in our bedroom.
The cockpit
I think we are all falling in love.
Today we divided and conquered and still made room for fun. I say we did pretty good.
Behind the scene...
On stage...
We are getting ready for a week of shows here and there is plenty of excitment in the air! It is so much fun to be part of such a great production!
Fullness: sitting in the sun in her old mismatched wooden chairs and talking about joy and perspective, listening to the kids reenacting the sequel of Rapunzel. Celebrating his patience at filming each and every act to create the movie they envision.
Eating: heirloom tomatoe pie, fresh asparagus with gremolata and rhubard kuchen for desert (she is my favorite cook!).
After dinner walk to see their new house. The warm setting sun in my face. A little hand in mine. Yes, fullness.
